In a slightly amusing story out of the United Kingdom, a tenant is facing possible jail time for blasting music from his favorite band, the Spice Girls. Neighbors say that their Nottingham neighbor, Gavin Townroe, blasted the Spice Girls song "Viva Forever" at all hours of the day and night and at such a loud volume that it could be heard from a block away.
What his neighbors "really, really wanted" was for him to stop. Townroe was initially issued an anti-social behavior injunction which commanded him to keep the music below a certain volume. When police officers recently took the volume levels at his home, they found that the levels violated the anti-social behavior injunction. Townroe was eventually issued a six-week suspended jail sentence.
